WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Police said they are looking for two people who allegedly shot multiple rounds into a house and a car Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened at approximately 12:10 a.m. in the area of 3586 South and 6830 West.
West Valley City Police Lt. Bill Merritt said officers responded to the scene and discovered bullets had been fired into a car in the driveway and the home’s living room window. Eleven shell casings were found.
An elderly couple was watching TV inside the living room when the shooting happened, Merritt said. Luckily, there were no injuries.
Officers obtained surveillance video and determined the suspects were two individuals who appeared to be adults. They reportedly arrived at the scene and fled on foot.
Merritt said authorities deployed a K9 unit, which led officers three houses away from the scene before the trail went cold.
Officials don’t yet know if the shooting was gang related, but the victims said there has been an ongoing feud with other people for years.
