SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Theater chain AMC announced it will host a 27-hour Star Wars marathon, showing all nine of the franchise’s episodes on the big screen.
The marathon begins with Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace on Wednesday, Dec. 18, and finishes with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on December 20.
AMC has three Utah locations in Layton, Provo and West Jordan.
The chain’s website said fans will receive a commemorative pin, blanket and a concession offer and will see the newest movie one hour before public showings begin.
Cinemark’s website has a page showing a marathon coming to that chain’s venues, but no showtimes had been published.
If you want to host your own non-stop marathon ahead of the newest release, you’ll need around 22.5 hours — including Solo and Rogue One between Episodes Four and Five.
May the force be with you.
