LAYTON, Utah – A 38-year-old woman from Idaho died after being hit by a car in Layton Saturday night, Layton City Police Department Lt. Brady Fitzpatrick said Sunday.
Fitzpatrick said the call came in about an auto-pedestrian accident around 9:50 p.m.
Police responded to the area of 650 N. Main Street and an officer attempted life-saving efforts but was not able to revive the woman, Fitzpatrick said.
He said the driver is not being charged at this time. There wasn’t a crosswalk in the area, so Fitzpatrick said he didn’t expect any charges would be filed.
He said the woman was in Layton for a work event.
