SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Firefighters were called out to rescue a cat in downtown Salt Lake after it became trapped in the gap between grates of a fence.
Video posted to the Salt Lake City Fire Department Facebook page Wednesday morning showed the moment the cat was freed.
Crews were forced to use the “jaws of life” to cut a fence bar. The cat was not happy for the help, meowng angrily and hissing at crews as they worked.
The cat was not injured, and quickly ran off after a firefighter lifted it over the more narrow part of the gap.
“He was not injured,” the post said. “In fact, he ran straight to the food bowl.”
As of Thursday morning, the video had over 2,200 views.
