Freebies, Discounts On Veterans Day For Those Who Served Our Country

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Veterans Day is not only about honoring those who have served in the U.S. military, but those whoa re currently serving as well.
In Utah, that means freebies for vets.
Food
Veterans can grab a free food today at Golden Corral, Red Lobster, Chili’s, Olive Garden, Applebee’s, Outback Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, Red Robin, Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, Cracker Barrel and Freddy’s, to name a few.
Discounts
Kohl’s is offering a 30% discount to veterans on all purchases. Home Depot and Target are offering 10% discounts.
Great Clips and Sport Clips are also offering free haircuts for veterans.
Attractions
The Leonardo Museum, 209 E. 500 South, Salt Lake City; the Natural History Museum of Utah, 301 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City; Hogle Zoo, 2600 Sunnyside Ave. South, Salt Lake City; are all offering free admission to active duty military and veterans
Veterans Day Events
10:30 a.m. – Bagpipe procession from Marriott Library, 295 S. Campus Drive, Salt Lake City, to the Student Union, 200 Central Campus Drive, Salt Lake City.
11 a.m. – Commemoration Ceremony at the Student Union. Sen. Mitt Romney is scheduled to speak.
11 a.m. – Veterans Day Ceremony at Draper City Park, 12500 S. 1300 East, Draper.
7 p.m. – Eagle Mountain Symphony Orchestra at Cedar Valley High School, 1389 Aviator Ave., Eagle Mountain
