SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Sen. Mitt Romney will be part of a congressional hearing Wednesday looking at the federal government’s response to both the breakout of lung injuries from vaping and the rising use of e-cigarettes among teenagers.
Romney has already met with FDA doctors and introduced legislation regulating e-cigarettes and prohibiting non-tobacco flavored vape cartridges.
Utah currently has 114 confirmed cases of lung injury related to vaping, and one Utahn has died from the illness.
