“Flash flooding is also likely occurring across most small streams and small drainages across Zion National Park,” according to NWS.
Flash flood watches remain in place for areas in southwest Utah, including most of Beaver, Iron, Washington and Kane counties. Other locations in those counties were placed under winter storm warning.
The NWS noted that “flash flooding of slot canyons, normally dry washes, small streams and urban areas with poor drainage will be possible.”
“Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION,” according to noaa.gov. “You should monitor (the latest) forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.”
