Utah Teen Crashes Car Into Payson Canyon Creek

PAYSON, Utah – A 16-year-old crashed a car into Peteetneet Creek in Payson Canyon, according to Sergeant Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

Cannon said the driver crashed into the creek north of Camp Maple Dell Wednesday evening.

Police said he suffered minor injuries, most likely from impact with the airbag.

The teen was cited for driving with an expired learner’s permit and failing to maintain his travel lane.

Cannon said the same driver was cited in June for speeding as well as another learner’s permit violation.
