Salt Lake City and other areas along the Wasatch Front are experiencing another day of poor air quality.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Wednesday morning started out with very poor air quality along the Wasatch Front, with both fog and smog impacting different areas.
“Unfortunately the smog will stay with us today,” said KSL meteorologist Grant Weyman. “A weak storm will bring some rain and snow early tomorrow morning, but the storm is probably not strong enough to clear the air.”
The Utah Department of Environmental Quality didn’t have an air quality report available as of 5 a.m., but the exclusive KSL Air Quality Network showed a bevy of “unhealthy” zones from Logan to Payson.
“Everyone may begin to experience health effects when AQI values are between 151 – 200,” according to AirNow.gov. “Members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.”
