DRAPER, Utah – Officials with Make-A-Wish Utah said students at Corner Canyon High School raised over $100,000 to help grant wishes for 20 Utah children battling critical illnesses.
“Granting wishes is an important part of a child’s medical journey,” said Jared Perry, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Utah. “Wishes would not be possible without the generous support of our community. We are deeply grateful for the students, faculty and individuals at Corner Canyon High School for helping us bring hope to so many children.”
Students hosted various activities including spikeball and Super Smash Bros. tournaments, dance competitions, an online auction and special assemblies during the monthlong initiative.
The students’ total donation was $100,864.26 and the average cost of a wish is $5,000, according to Make-A-Wish officials.
That money will be used to help grant 20 wishes in 2020.
