Lodge Maintenance Worker Booked On Assault Of Officer

PARK CITY, Utah – A 69-year-old man has been arrested after police say he assaulted an officer at the Stein-Eriksen Lodge in Park City.
According to a probable cause statement, officers were called Tuesday after reports of harassment by a maintenance worker at the lodge.
A man told investigators the worker, identified as Brent Sorensen, crashed into his golf cart with a maintenance golf cart and threatened to punch him.
The victim told officers just the day before, Sorensen drove up to him with a putty knife in his hand and yelled at him.
As two officers spoke with him, they said Sorensen became agitated and tried to leave the scene before the conclusion of their investigation.
It was when they reached out to grab his arm, they said he swung his arm in the direction of one of the officers.
Sorensen was then taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault, assault on a police officer and interference with a peace officer.
