SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Members of the Salt Lake City Fire Department got the chance to visit and uplift a Wyoming boy who is awaiting a heart transplant at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Thirteen-year-old Bryson, whose father is a fire chief in Wyoming, was having a tough day, according to friends and family.
They said Bryson idolizes firefighters, and they thought a visit from an engine company would be a great way to lift his spirits.
After a brief text exchange, SLC Fire Battalion Chief Brady George and members of SLC Fire Station No. 1 went and saw Bryson, visiting him in his room and showing him their engine.
Friends thanked George, along with Brandon Jorgensen, Tyler Fredrickson, Brandon Babcock, Brent Strong and Justin Batty for the visit, saying their actions changed the world for young Bryson.
