SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Travelers were advised to give themselves extra time at the Salt Lake International Airport after Terminal 1 was temporarily closed due to a ceiling leak. The security check point at the Terminal reopened about an hour later.
Airport officials said there was a plumbing issue above a security screening area Wednesday afternoon. All passengers had been advised to go through security at Terminal 2 while crews worked to fix the issue.
It was apparently not the first instance.
