SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Days after the Vivint Arena canceled its upcoming events and just hours after Megaplex Theatres announced it would be closing its doors until further notice, the CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group took to Twitter to voice some concerns.
The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies includes the Utah Jazz, Megaplex Theatres, Larry H. Miller Dealerships, and more.
In the thread, which was posted around midnight Thursday, CEO Steve Starks wrote about his worries, especially for the people who are being affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
“I will be vulnerable and confess that there are tears in my eyes as I go to bed tonight,” Starks tweeted. “My thoughts are with our thousands of employees, their families, our community, and my neighbors and friends. I know you are worried about your loved ones. So are we.”
He said the LHM group is going to use the time to “become more innovative and determined in all we do.”
“Our venues are silent now but imagine what it will be like when we are in that arena once again cheering together and when we are able to go to a movie friends and family,” he wrote.
The thread ended with a call for everyone to hug their loved ones, pray together, and serve somebody.
“… And know we will all get through this.”

Our @lhmauto and other automotive related employees are incredible. Even as we practice good judgement with social distancing, they are figuring out innovative ways to serve our customers in each of the seven states we do business in.
