Man Taken Into Custody After Stabbing On TRAX Train

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A stabbing suspect was taken into custody in downtown Salt Lake City after an altercation on a TRAX train led to a stabbing.
The incident happened Sunday before 11 a.m. between two passengers.
Utah Transit Authority spokesperson Cark Arky said the victim and suspect both got off the train at the Courthouse Station near 450 South Main Street.
Emergency medical technicians responded to the location to treat the victim for non-life threatening injuries. The victim was expected to be transported to the hospital for additional treatment.
Arky said the suspect left the scene, but police were able to find him and take him into custody.
Details about the nature of the altercation were not available. Neither person’s identities were released.
Trains were delayed 15 minutes.
