SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is now taking applications from Utah farmers and ranchers who are being impacted by the pandemic.
According to a news release, The Farm Service Agency said $16 billion is available to ensure there is enough money for all eligible producers who apply.
In order to do this, producers will receive 80 percent of their maximum total payment, upon approval of the application. The remaining payments will follow later.
The CFAP application and payment calculator are now available online.
Producers of all eligible commodities will apply through their local FSA office.
