State Reports 4 New Deaths, 295 New COVID-19 Cases

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Monday announced 295 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and four new deaths.
Of the patients who died, one was a San Juan County man between the ages of 18 – 60 who was hospitalized at the time of death, one was a Washington County man between the ages of 18 – 60 who was hospitalized at the time of death, one was a Washington County resident between the ages off 60 – 85 who was hospitalized at the time of death, and one was a Salt Lake County man between the ages of 60 – 85 who was a resident of a long-term care facility.
There have been a total of 14,608 COVID-19 cases and 143 deaths in Utah.
Of the confirmed cases,1,041 required hospitalization. There are currently 137 patients being treated for COVID-19 in Utah hospitals.
The state has issued 272,938 tests so far, and the rate of positives has risen to 5.4%.
An estimated 8,380 patients have recovered. A case with a diagnosis date of more than three weeks ago, who has not passed away, is considered recovered.
