RIVERTON, Utah – Following months of coordination, Costco Wholesale has submitted a site plan application for a proposed location in Riverton.
The proposed location is at the northeast corner of 13200 South and Mountain View Corridor, just north of Mountain View Village.
“We are excited to see Costco submit a site plan application for a new Riverton location,” said Mayor Trent Staggs. “We have been actively working with Costco for many months and are pleased to see them moving forward. This development will benefit the citizens of Riverton for years into the future, not just for the great products and services Costco provides, but due to the sales tax revenue that will be generated.”
The Costco warehouse is proposed to be approximately 160,000 square feet in size. In addition to the warehouse, the 19.19-acre property will include a Costco gas station and more than 800 parking stalls, according to a press release from Riverton City.
The next step in the process will be a formal review and approval of the site plan application by the Riverton City Planning Commission.
