Crews Pull Vehicle Out Of Canal After Crash In Box Elder County

GARLAND, Utah – A dive team retrieved a vehicle that had crashed into a canal Saturday night in Box Elder County, authorities said.
The incident happened happened shortly before 8 p.m. in the area of 13600 North and 4400 West.
According to the Garland Fire Department, a man was able to get out of the car and didn’t sustain any major injuries. Some oil had spilled during the crash, but authorities said crews were able to contain it using hazmat absorbent booms.
Crews were able to tow the car from the water.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
