WEST JORDAN, Utah – A contractor hired to paint the streets in a West Jordan neighborhood ended up spraying several cars that were parked on the side of the road.
Jake Milne’s car was one of those vehicles parked on Hilltop Drive. He went out to his car Tuesday morning and saw his car splattered with paint.
“Riding around with a sparkle job is not what I was hoping for,” Milne said.
West Jordan residents woke up yesterday to paint splattered on atleast 7 cars.

“It’s just unfortunate,” said a bummed out Milne. “I don’t think anyone did it on purpose. Turns out it was from people painting the street.”
Those people work for Innovative Marking solutions. Brent Bishop, chief operations officer for the company, told KSL TV they were supposed to set up signs notifying people not to park on the street. He also admitted his crew should have not sprayed near the cars.
Bishop said he has contacted a car detailer to remove the paint from the cars.
“It sounds like they are hitting it head-on,” Milne said. “I am feeling a lot better about it.”
Bishop said he expecting to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to have the paint removed. More cars may have been sprayed, and Bishop said people should call his company if they have paint damage.
