Small Plane With 6 Onboard Crashes In Duchesne County

MOUNTAIN HOME, Utah – A small plane carrying six people crashed near Moon Lake in Duchesne County, according to officials with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said one man was airlifted to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo with serious injuries that were not life-threatening. Five others — another man, two women and two teenagers — were taken by ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt, Utah. An update on their conditions was not immediately available.
Deputies said the plane, a Cessna T210M, took off from Roosevelt Friday morning and began to experience engine trouble near Moon Lake.
The plane crashed near a group campground south of the lake around 11:45 a.m. Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash.
Moon Lake is located approximately 27 miles north of Duchesne, or about 40 miles east of Kamas.
