SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah is looking to speed up the process for people to get a COVID-19 test.
Patients who need to be tested for the virus can now reserve a testing time at one of the University of Utah Health’s four in-car testing sites. Reserved testing times are not required, but they are encouraged to keep wait times down.
“We were starting to be able to predict busy days and busy times, that were like peaks and valleys throughout the day,” said Jennifer Faddis, nursing supervisor at the Sugar House Health Center. “Mornings were very busy and lunch breaks were really busy. Close to closing was really busy.”
The busiest days have been Fridays and Sundays, officials said.
Patients with reserved times will be prioritized. To reserve a time, call the U of U Health’s coronavirus hotline at 801-587-0712 or toll free at 844-745-9325.
