UHP Reports Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Suspected Impaired Driver

ERDA, Utah – The Utah Highway Patrol on Thursday reported a pedestrian died after being struck by a suspected impaired driver.
The incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. in the area of state Route 36 and Cimmaron Way.
“A gut wrenching and heartbreaking event for the family and friends of the victim … and a really toubh one for those 1st responders on scene,” UHP tweeted.
Southbound lanes of SR 36 were closed Thursday morning while troopers investigated. The victim’s identity has not been released.
