ROY, Utah – Weber School District officials on Monday confirmed a Roy High School employee has tested positive for COVID-19
According to a statement from the district, a member of the school’s administrative team recently tested positive, and three other members of the administration have been quarantined.
“We believe the administrator contracted the virus outside of the school setting,” according to the statement. “After conducting a thorough contact tracing process, we did not identify any students or faculty members who were potentially exposed.”
The district has notified parents and students about the situation.
“These notifications will contain general information and guidance so parents can make informed decisions about sending their children to school,” according to Weber School District.” Our goal is to be open and transparent, while still protecting the privacy rights of all students and employees in our district.
The high school will remain open, officials said.
