Structures Threatened By Fire Located South Of Veyo

VEYO, Utah — Crews are responding to a new fire located south of Veyo in Washington County.
Officials estimated the Veyo Pool Fire at 75 to 100 acres just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
The blaze grew to 400 acres around 8 p.m., primarily because of 15-25 mile per hour winds in the area.

Additional air support and ground crews were called in to assist.
Structures were reportedly being threatened, but no evacuations have been ordered.

Fire officials said one lane of State Route 18 was closed due to the fire.
The cause was being investigated.
