TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – Two people were injured and a suspect remained at-large following a crash and shooting near a Taylorsville restaurant, according to Sgt. Melody Cutler with the Unified Police Department.
The shooting happened Tuesday night with a group of motorcyclists, who were out on their weekly ride along 54oo South.
One of the riders was struck by a Jeep, and the driver of the vehicle fled and entered the parking lot of the Texas Roadhouse.
That motorcyclist was hospitalized in serious condition.
Two injured, two in custody, one suspect at large.
Police say the driver of a stolen car hit a motorcyclist, pulled into this Texas Roadhouse where they were confronted by another motorcyclist and a bystander(both with guns).

That’s when police said another motorcyclist from the group followed and confronted the driver with a gun, before a bystander with a gun also intervened.
“The motorcyclist asked for the driver to get out of the car because he had just hit someone,” Cutler said. “The Jeep began to back up, backed over a motorcycle. The citizen who was in the parking lot seeing the altercation had no idea that there had been an accident … just saw someone pull a gun. He got out with his gun and several shots were fired.”
Police said those shots struck a man in the Jeep’s passenger seat, who was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
The Jeep then left the parking lot and was abandoned by the driver at a car wash near Redwood Road and 4800 South. Officials said the driver called 911 to report his friend had been shot before fleeing the scene.
Police said both shooters were taken into custody and they were not sure which shooter fired the shot that hit the man or if both of them hit the victim.
Officers were still searching for the driver of the Jeep and said the vehicle was reported stolen out of Weber County Tuesday morning.
