Authorities Investigating Homicide After Man’s Body Found Near Fire

STOCKTON, Utah – A homicide investigation is underway in Tooele County after a man’s body was found on the edge of a fire.

Police said firefighters responded to a fire in Soldier Canyon on Saturday where they discovered the man’s body nearby.

After the fire was extinguished, investigators determined the death was a homicide.

Authorities are asking for information about a late-90s Honda Accord that was found abandoned near the scene.

The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information or who may have been in Soldier Canyon on Saturday to call 435-882-5600.
