FARMINGTON, Utah – Officials with the Davis School District said Bountiful and Viewmont high schools will be moving to online instruction due to the spread of COVID-19.
District spokesman Chris Williams said there will be no instruction at either school Friday to give teachers time to prepare for the transition.
“Virtual classes will begin Monday, Nov. 16, through Tuesday, Nov. 24,” Williams said in a statement. “All district schools are closed Nov. 25-27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.”
Both schools are scheduled to return to in-person classes on Nov. 30.
Other District Soft Closures
Northridge and Syracuse high schools also remain in soft closure, with students attending school virtually until Nov. 19, when they are scheduled to return to in-person classes.
On Wednesday, members of the Jordan School District board voted to move nine high schools and five middle schools to online instruction.
