SLC Police: Body Found In Field Now Being Investigated As Homicide

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said they are seeking information related to a suspicious death, which is now being investigated as a homicide.
Passersby discovered a body in a field near 1075 South Redwood Road on Nov. 24.
Police have identified the victim as Michael Paul Furbush, 31. Officials said they believe Furbush was homeless at the time and was staying in the field with other individuals.
“We are looking for a person of interest who was last seen wearing dark clothing and pushing a bike,” police said. “The bike had a child carrier trailer attached. The trailer contained a grey and red tent and a blue tarp. The male was last seen on Monday, Nov. 23, at approximately 5:15 p.m. walking south on Redwood Road, then east on California Avenue.”
