Police: Suspected Thief Ran Over Store Clerk With Car At West Jordan Smoke Shop

WEST JORDAN, Utah – Officers with the West Jordan Police Department are searching for a man who allegedly ran over a store clerk with his car after a dispute over stolen goods.
Police said the incident occurred Monday night at a smoke shop near 1500 West and 9000 South.
Officers said the suspect stole a product, and the clerk confronted him about it in the parking lot. That’s when the suspect allegedly ran over the clerk with his car.
The clerk was hospitalized in critical condition. Officials said the suspect, a man in his 20s, fled in a red passenger car and was wearing a tie-dye shirt, black jacket, black hat and white pants.
