PRICE, Utah — One person sustained minor injuries after a cargo van transporting 13 puppies from Texas to Oregon crashed and rolled in Carbon County.
The crash took place on U.S. Highway 6 near Price around 2 a.m. Friday.
Trooper Bret Bennett with the Utah Highway Patrol said a cargo van with two occupants drifted off the side of the road and crashed into a fence before rolling onto its side.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
All 13 adopted puppies were successfully rescued, Bennett said, and taken to the Carbon County Animal Shelter where they will be held until the handlers pick them up.
Bennett said fatigue was a factor in the crash.
