BEAVER, Utah – Both directions of Interstate 15 have reopened after they were closed north of Beaver Friday evening due to multiple crashes and winter road conditions, officials with the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Several crashes were reported along I-15 in a 15-minute span just before 4 p.m. Friday, and the Utah Department of Transportation said crashes and poor driving conditions were impacting I-70 in Fillmore and Sevier counties.
Northbound I-15 lanes are closed at milepost 109 in Beaver, and traffic is being diverted through Manderfield. Southbound lanes partially reopened before 5:30 p.m. and traffic was moving in both directions at 7 p.m.
Troopers were working to determine how many vehicles were involved in the crashes, but they said there were multiple multi-car crashes.
Southbound lanes were partially blocked by a semi-truck rollover around 6:25 p.m.
Semis were required to use chains on I-70 between mileposts zero and 23.
