159 Test Positive For COVID-19, No New Deaths Reported

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health reported 159 people have tested positive for COVID-19.
No new deaths were reported.
Utah administered 2,496 more vaccines.
There are currently 147 people hospitalized with the virus.

Testing
UDOH reports 2,334,049 people have been tested so far, which is an increase of 2,333 people tested since yesterday.
Of those, a total of 381,788 Utahns have tested positive for COVID-19. That’s an increase of 159 new cases over Sunday’s numbers.
The rolling 7-day average for positive tests is 457 per day.
The rolling 7-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 8%. The rolling 7-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 4.1%.
Hospitalizations
Currently, 147 people are hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 52 of those people are in intensive care units. Another 20 patients are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID-19.
The state’s ICUs are 65.8% occupied. The ICU beds in Utah’s referral centers are 68.9% full.
Referral Centers are the 16 hospitals in Utah with the capability to provide the best care for patients with COVID-19. Because most patients are transferred to these facilities, their utilization is the best reflection of the true hospital capacity in Utah when looking at ICU beds.
Deaths
No new COVID-19 deaths have been reported.
To date, 2,062 Utahns have died as a direct result of the virus.
Vaccinations
Utah has administered 1,154,778 total vaccines, which is an increase of 2,496 since Sunday’s data was released.
So far, 765,202 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 419,623 have been fully immunized.
There have been 1,323,050 vaccines delivered to the state.
