SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Transportation said it expected heavy traffic on I-15 this weekend for Spring Break travel.
Families are expected to hit the road en masse this weekend because many Wasatch Front schools will start their Spring Break.
Drivers could see heavy traffic on I-15 starting Friday afternoon.
For Salt Lake County 15 minute delays are expected from 2 p.m until 9 p.m.
A delay in southbound traffic in Davis County is expected from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and northbound lanes could see delays from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
In southern Utah, congestion is expected near Moab, St. George, and Spanish Fork Canyon.
UDOT said vehicles wider than 12 feet are restricted on I-15 near Beaver and U.S. 191 in Moab.
