Body Of Missing Woman Found, Recovered In Logan Canyon

LOGAN, Utah – The body of a woman who had been reported missing has been found by search and rescue crews in Logan Canyon.
Searchers spent much of the weekend looking for the 22-year-old woman after family members contacted officials. They said they were concerned that the unidentified woman had been acting differently lately, but officials did not elaborate.
Lt. Doyle Peck with the Cache County Sheriff’s Office said she was last seen Friday evening.
Her car was found in Logan Canyon. Crews spent hours searching the area with hikers and dogs, but could not find her.
Lt. Peck said they “covered a lot of ground” Saturday, and were planning to do the same Sunday.
Officials originally thought it was possible the woman was camping – or that she dropped her car off and met someone before going somewhere else, like she had done earlier in the week.
Her body was found Monday. Officials did not suspect any foul play.
