Two Men Killed After Vehicle Rolled On Moab Rim Jeep Trail

MOAB, Utah — Two men from Arizona were killed after their vehicle rolled on the Moab Rim Jeep Trail, police said.
Grand County Dispatch received the 911 call around 1:35 p.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived, they located two men that were involved in the crash.
The driver, a 56-year-old male from Arizona, and the passenger, a 47-year-old male from Arizona, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials with the Moab City Police Department said the victims’ names will not be released at this time, pending family notifications.
Representatives from several agencies including the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, Moab Valley Fire Department, Grand County EMS, and the Utah Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
According to preliminary information from witnesses of the crash, there may have been a possible mechanical issue.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the victims,” read a Facebook post from the Moab City Police Department.
