MILLCREEK, Utah – Firefighters with the Unified Fire Authority responded to a house fire in Millcreek early Wednesday morning.

Crews said one occupant was able to escape the home, located near 3000 East Millcreek Canyon Road, without injuries.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly but said it appears the fire reached the inside of the house and spread to the attic, causing extensive damage.

The fire is under investigation. No cause was given.
