SUNSET, Utah — A mother and her 11-year-old daughter were hit by a car while crossing the street in Davis County.
The incident happened at 75 West and 1800 North in Sunset around 7:31 p.m. Friday.
Sgt. Brett Jamison with the Sunset Police Department said a Nissan pickup truck was traveling westbound when the driver hit both pedestrians in a crosswalk, then took off.
The 45-year-old woman suffered a “significant laceration” to her right thigh, while both victims sustained “significant road rash.” Jamison said the mother was screaming and yelling a lot and told officers that she hurt everywhere.
Both the mother and daughter were transported to Ogden Regional Hospital in an ambulance.
