Delta Flight From SLC Makes Emergency Landing In El Paso

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A Delta flight from Salt Lake City was forced to make an emergency landing after a problem was detected with the aircraft’s cabin pressurization.
Flight 628 was on its way to Mexico City Monday afternoon, but was diverted to El Paso, Texas.
“The flight landed safely [in El Paso] and taxied to the gate,” read a statement from a Delta spokesperson.
Technicians were brought in to inspect the aircraft.
Delta teams also discussed alternative plans to continue the passengers travel to Mexico City, according to the spokesperson.
Additional details about the incident were not immediately available.
