SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Spending on gifts for Mother’s Day has nearly doubled in America over the past decade.
A graph from Statista shows the steady climb from right around $14.6 billion 10 years ago to this year, where the estimate is closer to $28.1 billion – a 93% increase on what children and adult children plan on forking over to make mom feel special.
KSL’s Dan Spindle got a short list here of the top five gifts you might think about getting for your mom this Mother’s Day if you haven’t already done your shopping.
First — Truff is a fancy brand of hot sauce and for $70 you can get three bottles of their signature heat.
Check out beauty store Ulta for the Mario Badescu Face Spray — scents like cucumber and green tea or chamomile and lavender — the little bottles cost $21.
Goldbelly is an awesome site where you can send your mom gourmet foods, snacks and desserts — a monthly subscription is $79, but you can find a lot of good stuff for under $100.
Yeti ramblers ($30) that keep your beverages just the right temperature are always a good idea, and the pricier Beast B10 personal blender is another good option. It costs $138.
