AMERICAN FORK, Utah – The Alpine School District moved its next board meeting to an online format following recent debates over mask mandates at other school board meetings.
In a prepared statement, School Board President, Dr. Mark Clement said an in-person meeting “presents a substantial risk to the safety of staff and those attending.”
District officials cited an incident at a Granite School Board meeting last week in which the crowd became so unruly that the board adjourned the meeting early.
Tuesday’s meeting will be available to watch live here. A Study Session begins at 4 p.m. and the Board Meeting begins at 6 p.m.
The board will take comments that are submitted in writing or by video.
