Police Searching For Missing Woman Spotted In South Salt Lake

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — Police said they were searching for a missing woman who was last seen at a 7-Eleven in South Salt Lake.
Officials with the South Salt Lake Police Department said 26-year-old Shylene “Shy” White Mortensen was spotted in a car with two other people at the 7-Eleven, located at 287 West and 3300 South, around 9 p.m. Thursday.
They said a male occupant was walking towards the building to pay for gas when the female driver sped off with Mortensen inside.
She was reportedly heard yelling “stop” and the driver was heard saying “shut up.”
Mortensen, who was reported missing to the Salt Lake Police Department on May 22, was described as five feet four inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with blue eyes and brown and blonde hair. She has all black ink tattoos, including a marijuana leaf on her right shoulder and a peace sign on her back.
Police said the vehicle was a gold/tan-colored two-door, possible Ford Explorer or Tahoe, with Utah license plate number U688JG.
