That project is adding new Express Lanes and repairing sections of I-15 from Layton Parkway to Riverdale Road, according to a news release. These improvements are to improve traffic flow, reduce delays and provide a smoother ride on the interstate.

Bangerter Highway Closure
A closure was also planned for Bangerter Highway in Taylorsville.
This will be a full closure at 6200 South. This will be the last night of three consecutive overnight closures.
“When the interchanges are complete and traffic can flow freely without stoplights, we expect to see a significant reduction in crashes and in drive times," @UtahDOT project manager Brian Allen said. #KSLTV https://t.co/ksQTtRX26j

Crews have been setting up bridge girders at the new overpass since Monday night. Lanes are expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Thursday.
Drivers traveling east-west on 6200 South will not be able to cross Bangerter during this part of the project, UDOT said.
Detour signs will help drivers navigate around the closed lanes.
