SUMMIT, Utah — One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a semi-truck crashed in Iron County, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the truck drove off Interstate 15 near milepost 71 and went over a barrier, crashing onto Main Street in Summit.
The truck’s driver was able to escape the cab before it was fully engulfed, and troopers said he was wearing his seat belt.
The truck was hauling a variety of products and Main Street/Old Highway 91 will be closed through Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers temporarily shut down I-15 lanes Tuesday morning but said all lanes reopened before 11 a.m.
Investigators have not released a cause for the crash.
