PARK CITY, Utah — A 21-year-old woman could face charges after officials with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said she called in a fake bomb threat so she could leave her job early.
Authorities said the woman, who is from Coalville, sent her father a text that read, “Call 911 Bomb Threat at my Job.”
The father alerted police, who responded to the Park City Outlets Sunday evening.
“Dispatch called into the store and the assistant manager answered and came out to deputies,” authorities said. “During the investigation, it was found to be a fake threat. The assistant manager admitted to calling in the threat to her father because she wanted to leave work.”
No evacuations took place, and deputies said the incident was quickly resolved.
Authorities said the woman could face charges of making a terroristic threat. The case will be sent to the county attorney for review.
