MOAB, Utah — City officials announced all staff and members of the public are once again required to wear masks and social distance in Moab City facilities.
The announcement was made by city officials after the Utah Department of Health moved Grand County back to the “high” transmission level for COVID-19 infection rates.
“This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and based on CDC guidelines as well as recommendations from the chief medical officer at Moab Regional Hospital,” read a graphic from the city.
Officials said this change is to protect the health and safety of the community, especially as the delta variant continues to spread.
“Masks and social distancing are proven to help slow the spread of all variants of the virus. To protect our community, please follow these new mask guidelines as long as they remain in effect,” the graphic concluded.
