Identities Released Of Pilot, Two Passengers Killed In Davis County Plane Crash

FARMINGTON, Utah — Officials with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office have released the names of the three people who were killed in a small plane crash on Sessions Mountain.
The victims were identified Tuesday afternoon as:
- Pilot:
- J. Parker Christensen, 28, of Ogden, Utah
- Passengers:
- Tyson Peterson, 24, of Logan, Utah (husband)
- Kallie Edwards Peterson, 24, of Logan, Utah (wife)
“We offer our condolences to the family and friends of these victims,” read a press release from the DCSO.
Deputies said the Cessna 182 plane crashed between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday in a “very remote part of Sessions Mountain,” which is east of Bountiful.
With the help of a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter, search and rescue crews were able to locate the aircraft early Monday morning.
Crews were then able to recover the victims’ remains.
Officials have not released a cause for the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.
