Five Injured After Wrong-Way Crash On SR 201; Troopers Investigating Possible DUI

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A woman was critically injured and four others suffered serious injuries after a wrong-way crash on state Route 201 Wednesday night, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
The crash happened near 6200 West around 11:45 p.m.
Troopers said a van was traveling against eastbound traffic and crashed head-on into a silver car, which spun out and crashed into a pickup truck.
The female driver of the silver car was critically injured, and three people had to be extricated from their vehicles.
Four people, including the van’s driver, suffered serious injuries. No update on their conditions was immediately available.
S.R. 201 was closed for several hours while investigators were on scene; it has since reopened.
Troopers said they are investigating the crash as a possible DUI.
