SALT LAKE CITY — Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said three people were injured in a shooting and they are searching for two suspects.
Officers said the shooting happened before 2 a.m. Friday near 321 South Main Street.
Police said the two suspects were allegedly trying to steal items from an alley when employees of a nearby bar and some customers confronted them.

The suspects left after an argument with the group, but one of the suspects returned with a gun and fired shots into the alley.
One employee and two customers suffered minor injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
SLCPD Lt. Dave Cracroft said police already have a piece of evidence in the investigation — the suspects’ vehicle, which was abandoned after the shooting.
“I think they were hoping that nobody would see this car parked in the middle of the street,” he said.
Cracroft said the car is not listed as stolen, so they hope it leads to the men behind this crime.
