Police: AMBER Alert canceled after mother, infant located in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — An AMBER Alert has been canceled after police said a mother and her infant were found in Salt Lake City.
The alert was issued Friday afternoon, identifying the suspect as 28-year-old Madison Felts.
Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said Felts and the one-and-a-half-month-old were last seen in the area of the Greyhound Bus Station at 300 South and 600 West.
The victim, who was identified by police as Sawyer Felts, was described as 18 inches tall and weighing five pounds, with strawberry-red hair and brown eyes.
Just before 6 p.m., police said the mother and her child had been located.
“The child is safe and our investigation is continuing,” read a tweet from the SLCPD. “We want to thank the community for their help. Our patrol officers are the ones who saw and stopped Madison.”
